The Good Funeral Awards reward the unsung heroes of the funeral industry and enable bereaved people to say thank you for being there when we needed you.
They are organised using the industry knowledge of The Good Funeral Guide, the leading consumer organisation and information resource for the bereaved, and are brought to you this year through the generous support of our main sponsor Funeralbooker and the companies who have kindly sponsored individual categories, listed below.
If you would like to nominate someone for an award please do so by contacting email@example.com and telling us why.
We will then contact that person and invite them to enter officially for the award.
If you would like to enter yourself or your company for an award, please download and complete the entry form at the bottom of this page and send it us along with the entry fee if applicable.
Winners will receive:
This year we’re making a number of changes to the way that businesses and individuals are nominated because last year we were overwhelmed with submissions, which took many hours to wade through.
We have introduced a small entry fee for most categories to cover the time it takes to go through the nominations.
We’re starting the process by creating a ‘Long List’.
If you are an individual working within funeralworld, you are eligible to enter for any category that you think suitable. (If you can get a client or supplier to sing your praises and nominate you first, that’s great, but don’t wait too long..!)
Simply download the entry form (see the foot of this page) and fill in all the details. We’d like you to tell us your story.
The judges will read all entries. They will then draw up a ‘Long List’ which will be published in August. The ‘Short List’ of finalists will have their names read out on the day.
The entry forms can be downloaded either as a PDF or a Word document – whatever is easiest for you to fill in. It’s probably easiest to print off the document and then collect some copies of supporting testimonials and then put them all in the post together.
Unfortunately we’re not able to return anything sent to us in the post, so please do not send originals.
Nominations will be invited in the following categories:
Anyone can nominate a person for the award.

Closing date is 14 July if you only want to pay £20, or £40 up to 1 August 2016
